January Featured Designer

In the Spotlight for January 2010 is Kit aka “Scrappin Wright.

With Scrappin Wright in our designer spotlight, she is having a 50% sale, don’t miss her talent designs at these awesome prices!

We threw a few questions at Kit and her is what she said:

Q. What is your favourite all time movie?
Purple Rain. I am a long time Prince fan and I can watch this over and over.

Q. Which would you pick…more money or more time?
More time. Money isn’t everything it only pays the bills.

Q. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you make your home?
Right here with my family. I love the Pacific North West, we have the most lovely Evergreen trees.

Q. What is your favourite thing about Digital Scrap booking?
The creative ability to change ANYTHING I want. When I buy traditional scrap booking supplies I am limited to the exact item I chose. With digital scrap booking, I can make ANYTHING and I can change it to any colour to match any picture without having to buy the same element in a different colour. I can also re-use things, it’s the ultimate in “green” because it’s recycled.

Q. What part of designing comes easiest to you (themes, colours, papers, elements)?
Papers. I love to mix textures and play with layer effects. I do however love to create bows as well.

Q. If you’re running low on design mojo, where do you go to kick start your creativity?
That’s a hard question because most of my mojo is spontaneous and can be triggered by something as simple as seeing an advertisement on the T.V. to and outfit my daughter is wearing. Mostly I think inspiration comes from playing with textures or fabric in a craft store so when my mojo gets low I visit JoAnn Fabrics.

Q. What programs do you use?
CS 4, PSE 7, and once in a blue moon PSP 7.

Q. What has been the greatest compliment you have received about your designs?
Oh wow. When a fellow designer whom I deeply respect to me that one of my kits was “wicked” I nearly fell off my computer chair because it was like getting a compliment from a famous movie star.

Q. If you only had 2 elements in a kit, what would they be?
A bow and a Frame.
