Here is a way to keep your Paint Shop Pro Memory Free and to help prevent these memory errors. Clear your Browser Cache!

How to clear Paint Shop Pro Browser Cache

  • Click the Window’s Start button and then click on ‘Search’.
  • Click on All files and folders.
  • Type .jbf in the file name section and then click on Search.
  • Your windows search feature may be somewhat different and you may have to get to it in a different way…but whatever version you have.

We are going to let it search your computer for those paint shop pro browser files that Paint Shop Pro makes every time you open a file and get rid of them. These files take up your Paint Shop Pro memory. It may take it a short time for your computer to find all of these files on your computer so be patient.

  • When your computer has stopped searching you need to delete ALL of these files that your computer finds. Deleting these files will only free up your Paint Shop Pro memory and will not affect anything other parts of Paint Shop Pro or files you have created and saved to your computer.

Remember these files are what create the thumbnails of what is in the folder and that is all we are removing from your computer not the Paint Shop Pro tubes, graphics, filters or any other Paint Shop Pro item.

  • Now when you open Paint Shop Pro it will be a lot faster and no errors when browsing too.

IMPORTANT that you perform this clean up steps above to free your Paint Shop Pro Memory every month or more if you use Paint Shop Pro a lot. Because each time you open the folders in your computer with the browser this thumbnail viewing file will be created again and again.

Deleting these files is maintenance for your Paint Shop Pro as is cleaning our your in-box with your email :-)
