Comment Policy

Over the past few months since starting our blog, we have been removing the occasional comment from the blog.It seems when your comments do not appear we also see an increase in the number of email complaints to us because you do not see your comments appear on this site.

The view from many blog readers as to what is acceptable comment posting varies from one reader to the next, sadly from ignoring to post any comments completely to posting abusive comments or trying to attempt comments that contain hundreds of totally irrelevant links to sites with undesirable content in our opinion.

We police our comments and only approve those that meet our comment policy, and remove all those that fail, not just the spammers.

Before you post comments on our blog here is our policy on policing our comments:

1) We encourage and love your comments on our blog
We love to read your comments. Comments acknowledge this wonderful community network we have. Helpful comments, tell us what you think, ask questions, provide hints and tips, these are the comments that we feel contribute to a growing knowledge on this blog, they help all our readers including the contributors.

2) Do you have a Question or two, please then ask
Should you have a question about an article we welcome you to leave your question in a comment. You will be surprise just who may know the answer, if a fellow community reader knows the answer, please post your comment response. We will attempt to answer all questions if unanswered and if we do not know the answer, we will assist to find an answer for you where possible.

3) We despise spam and delete spam
We use and filter all comments with the assistance and use of the Akismet spam filtering service. Should your comment not appear and it is not a message in violation of any of these comment police points, it may be that your comment was caught by the spam filter, however we have found Akismet to be very accurate and reliable in the detection of spam.

4) Personal Attacks of any nature
Personal attack comments that are directly attacking either this site; any of the contributing authors; or other reader will not tolerated, and will not be approved. By all means express your point of view and provide criticism to an article, so long as it is constructive criticism.

5) Signatures rarely approved
We are not a fan supporter of signatures in comments; therefore it is less likely that any comments will be approved if your signature is left intact with the comment. Rather we will remove your signature before approving the comment. At the end of the day if your signature link is so important apply to have your link added to our Link directory.

In summary any comment that is found to be a violation of this comment policy may have either the comment removed, the commenter blocked in future and or your ISP contacted.
