Tools You will Need:

** This tutorial was written by me after playing around in PSP and is copyrighted by Norma. Any similarity to any other tutorial is purely coincidental. **

Step 1. Open a new image 600 x 200 and fill with your desired background (darker colours show the text up better. (This is layer 1).

Step 2 . Add a new raster layer.

Set your foreground colour #b5c6ce and background #ffffff.

Select the text tool and a font, I used Bodoni MT Black. A fat font works better for this effect, size 150, stroke 1, floating. Type your text and click OK.. DO NOT DESELECT..

Step 3 . Click on Selections, load save selections, Save selection to alpha channel, click Save.

Step 4. Go to Selections, modify, contract 1. Click on Selections-Promote selection to new layer (you should now have 3 layers).

Step 5. Highlight layer 2. And press the delete key on your keyboard.

Step 6. Highlight layer 3 and select the mover tool (if you do not click on the Mover Tool the step below will not move)

Tap the up arrow on your keyboard 4 times and the left arrow 4 times. Press delete.
Tap the down arrow key 4 times and the right arrow key 4 times.

Step 7. Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur at 4. Click OK.

Step 8. New layer. Flood fill with #dad6d7.

Step 9. Select the mover tool.

Tap the down arrow on your keyboard 4 times and the right arrow 4 times. Press delete.
Tap the up arrow key 4 times and the left arrow key 4 times.
Step 10. Adjust, Blur, Gaussian Blur at 4. Select OK.

Step 11. Deselect all. Hide layer 1 and merge layers visible.

Step 12. Highlight layer 2 and go to Effects, Artistic Effects, Chrome. Adjust the settings for Chrome as follows:

Flaws 3, Brightness 70, ‘Use original colour’checked (default white)

Click OK

Step 13. Repeat chrome with the same settings as shown in step 12.

Step 14. Adjust, Brightness and Contrast, Brightness/Contrast, with settings as: Brightness 50, Contrast 0.

Step 15. Repeat chrome with the same settings as shown in step 12.

If you are happy with the text (clear text) you move to step 18.

Step 16. For a thicker effect go to Selections, Load Selection from alpha channel and click Load.

Adjust, Softness, Soft Focus - All settings 100% and Include Scattered Light.
Repeat chrome and Deselect.

Step 17. Repeat chrome with the same settings as shown in step 12.

Step 18. When you are happy with your text merge all and add a new layer. Add highlights eg. sparkles etc
