Digital scrapbooking is done pretty much with the same basics as you would with traditional paper scrapbooking. Your digital scrap book layout is achieved in the same principle as paper layouts where you use layers of papers and elements on top of each other to complete your design.
When you are creating a digital scrap book page layout it is best practice to always have your items of the layout on separate layers, with your photo's, papers, and embellishments all on their own layer.
Why is this you ask? Well by placing each of your layout items on their own layer it makes your design arrangement easier as you can move and reposition each item of your layout as you desire.
If you have items on the same layer, then all items move together and not individually when you try to arrange your layout items.

Today I thought I would share with you how I create a basic layout with Paint Shop Pro with all my layout items on their own layer.
